In speaking about the essential Executive Director role and the challenging recruitment environment, Howard Cohen, Chair of the SVCOA board search committee, shares that the organization engaged Standish Executive Search to lead the recruitment.

Cohen comments, “This is a critical role for our organization and for our region. We recognized that the pool of available talent for this position was extremely limited, as is our experience with executive recruiting. Standish guided our hiring and stayed with us and Ms. Zagorski to support her integration into our organization. We were very fortunate to have Standish partner with us to realize a right and lasting outcome in a very challenging recruitment environment.”

SVCOA is a critical community force in creating and sustaining opportunities for elders and caregivers in Southwestern Vermont, to help assure that elders can maintain maximum independence and quality of life. With offices in Rutland and Bennington, Vermont, SVCOA offers a wide range of support, services and programs for older Vermonters, caregivers, and volunteers.
